TERMS & CONDITIONS

The hall is situated on the Church property and must be used in accordance with the doctrines, beliefs, and principles of the PVC. A suitable acknowledgment of these matters should also be asked to be given by the hirer as a condition of booking.

The hire of the hall and its rooms is at the discretion of the Board of Management.

The hire of the hall is for Christian Groups, Youth Groups, Retreat Groups, Bible Study Groups, Community Groups & etc.

Safe Church Requirements apply when there are children below 18 years old; leaders require Working With Children Check and/or Safe Church Training Accreditation.

Hire of the Hall building includes the use of the kitchen, toilets, lounge, multi-purpose hall, rooms 1 and 2, and a section of the carpark.

Hire is the understanding that overnight users will attend the Sunday Service at Sorrento Church at 11 a.m. or Rye Church at 9:15 a.m.

Before leaving, the hall, kitchen, toilets, lounge, and rooms 1 and 2 are to be left in the condition they were found. Please ensure all rubbish is removed from the kitchen and toilets and taken away with you as we don't have a council rubbish bin.

Please turn off all lights and power and return the key to the Key Safe beside the door.

Please report any breakages promptly. Hires may be liable for the cost of repair or replacement or loss of part or all of the bond.

Smoking is not permitted in any part of the hall building.

No alcohol or drugs to be consumed in the premise.

Deposit: Subject to the conditions of hire a refundable bond of $200 is required. Please note that this bond is non-refundable in the event of the above conditions not being adhered to, or if the booking is cancelled with less than 7 days notice.

First aid is the responsibility of the Hirer throughout the duration of hiring period. There is a basic First Aid Kit in the kitchen.

It is important that the Hirer is aware of the location of the Fire Exits in case of emergency and of the relevant fire extinguishers. Familiarise yourself with the Evacuation Plan displayed in the Hall at the commencement of the Hire.

It is the responsibility of the Hirer to secure all personal belongings.

It is the responsibility of the Hirer to have your own Public Liability Insurance.

Good neighbour practice - No loud music inside or outside the Hall after 11pm.

Donation for use of the Hall - $100 per day or $50 per half day - $150 per day & night (up to 22 pp max overnight).
